Formentera is an island in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea. It is part of the Pine Islands, inside the Balearic Islands, and has a population of about 10,000 people. Formentera is the smallest island in the Balearic Islands, and has a stable population. It has over 70 km of beaches and 85 km2 of extension. It is an ideal place to enjoy nature and practice outdoor sport activities in the water, or scuba diving.

Formentera is the only municipality on the island. San Francesc de Fromentera is a town wehre the most part of the population on the island lives. The rest is split up into diverse urban nucleus like that of La Sabina, La Mola, Sant Ferrao, and Es Pujois. This island makes its living from tourism that comes from El Puerto de La Savina, one of the most touristic urban nucleus. Its beaches, underworld marine life, gastronomy, and climate are all winning attractions for its visitors. |
